Christina S. RECOGNITION FOR HER ACHIEVEMENTS Nacopoulos has been inducted in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.  She has lectured on nursing home law for the Ohio Association of Justice, and remains a current member.  She has also lectured on nursing home law for the prestigious Bernard Friedman Institute.  Nacopoulos serves on the board of governors of the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, and is a former member of the board of governors of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, for which she remains active, along with membership in several bar associations.   She is also a member of the American Association for Justice. 

MAKING A DIFFERENCE  “We really can make a difference in people’s lives and in the delivery of health care for everyone, and that is the most satisfying part of being a lawyer,” Nacopoulos says.  She cites a case for a failure to diagnose complications following a back surgery.  The resolution led to the physician lobbying the large, urban hospital to purchase the diagnostic equipment that would have helped her client, equipment that can be used to help future patients avoid her client’s misfortune.  “Cases like that are very gratifying for a plaintiffs attorney,” she says.  “I absolutely love the practice of law.  Other than God and my family, there is nothing more important to me.”
